Alchemy. Snake and dragon eating its tail.

“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes." - Carl Jung

While we anticipate ringing in the new year with fresh energy, new goals/resolutions, and better alignment with our purpose (or soul's contract for my spiritual people 💫), the illusion of finding balance will be a constant noise from the outside.

As you take steps forward with the things you love, learn new skills, and enroll in creative courses this coming year, you must remember that finding a balance between your passionate work and personal life is a myth, especially for new creatives. There is no balance, only HARMONY as it relates to the whole of your life.

Everyone's capacity for learning and performing is different, and tough decisions will have to be made. There is no correct or best way to pursue any of this; you'll have to try a bunch of stuff, adjust and give your all. What that actually looks like will vary from person to person. Anyone who tells you differently, walk in the other direction. It's funny we're in an era where high-performing work ethics or "hustle culture" are even deemed toxic by the mob. In reality, the rate of your growth & development will be dependent on being truthful with yourself and consistently pushing past your limits. Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe says it best below:

Have a great week, and let us all finish the year strong. I have three final shoots to complete this week, so I've been prepping for that for the last few days. 😬.
