This past weekend was a fun challenge where I had three consecutive projects lined up that required weeks of planning to pull off at a professional level. Friday and Saturday were dedicated to client work requiring the use of an old school Arri 2k Tungsten light from the 90s. Sunday was a focused and specific creative day dedicated to filming a poetic short captured on motion picture film. I got to work with a super talented actress who inspired me throughout the production. For each shoot, I was able to use skills I've picked up over the years that aren't directly related to photography but still provide value beyond the boxed-in thinking of labels and genres within the industry. If you actually pay attention, you can find a connection in everything and pull from experiences throughout your life...
Takeaway: Get out there and live a fulfilling life where you trust your intuition for what you're drawn to. You may not know how it fits in the bigger picture, but no effort or experience is ever wasted. Things always seem to come back full circle.
Early Sunday morning, set up in the studio. I drew that illustration on the turntable based on a Kat Von D pen & ink drawing and made a screenprint on paper for the character in the script. Those colors and textures can't be duplicated with a digital print.

It's always fun to dust these lights off and use them. Vintage Arri Fresnel 2k - Produces a quality of light that can't be reproduced with LED. Lots of precautions need to be taken when using these lights. Definitely for professional use only.

Motion Pictures for clients - Coming soon...

Prop for the video production. Had the right vibe.

Check out the size of the giant diffusion I use often.

Trying to find my light meter that was hiding in my back pocket :D

Music is a big part of my life.
