Working in a creative industry can be engaging most of the time. There are often periods when work moves at a slower pace, and then suddenly, bam! A series of projects get booked, and you're swamped for the next month or two. The amusing part is that some days you'll wake up and feel entirely over every idea you've come up with for the work you need to deliver. Then you start all over, again and again, until you know it's right. But you don't even know what "right" is at that moment; you just realize the iteration you're working on isn't it. Lol. This process of silence, discomfort, and uncertainty in those moments is necessary to reach the revelation of an idea that you can't express on paper or with words, only as a feeling of "when you know, you know." AI can't save you here; you're on your own. 😉
I was going through this process the other day for some upcoming photoshoots. Everything was planned out, but I scrapped it all and returned to the drawing board because I felt the ideas/concepts needed something. It was funny because I kept bombarding the makeup artist and others with questions about why something couldn't be done in this or that way within a specific context. Long story short, things could be done, and I figured it out, and everything's one louder now, cranked back up to eleven. Want a visual that captures the heart of this article?
