The Number One Tip For Creativity

Pretty much anywhere online nowadays, you'll have an entire sub-genre of personalities making a career out of just talking about creativity without actually creating anything outside of the business of talking about creativity catered to algorithms šŸ˜‚ It's wild and very surface-level. While I'm sure their intentions are good, one thing they never mention or talk about is the actual thing that is needed the most. So...

Want to know the number one tip for excelling creatively? Are you ready? It's pretty simple. The secret information is: Having the WILL to be creative. That's it. I know it's not some profound statement dressed up in pretty language, but it's the truth. Having the willpower and determination to do "it" is all you need, and when you have that kind of consciousness and spirit, nothing can stop you.

It's common sense that you'll have to build the tangible technical skills necessary while also cultivating the intangible creative eye/mind required to create the way you envision, bridging the gap between what's in your head and what you produce in reality. Yet, no one can teach you willpower and desire, but those elements elevate your creative abilities because they will push you through the storm when adversity strikes. Not everything you create along the way will be a W. You'll have setbacks and need that internal fortitude to recognize and see where you fell short and what areas you need to improve moving forward. It's a process; sometimes, you will see things clearly, others only when a mistake happens or a brief period of time has passed.

In any case, having the WILL to keep developing and learning and pushing yourself towards what your sights set on creatively is one aspect that someone can't overlook. It doesn't matter what strategy, algorithm hack, or new gadget someone tries to employ; the creative work produced has to be compelling in some way, and the only way to create compelling work is to have the desire to create great work. At any stage of the game (beginner to pro), that energy to be the most excellent version of yourself at that moment will be reflected in your thoughts, decisions, and actions, which will be reflected in the things you ultimately bring into this world and create.

šŸŽ¼ Love the vibe and colors in this video; it's a whole mood. If you didn't know, Sade has some of the best film photos taken of her that I've seen of any female music artist.
