Hello, everyone! Seeing me posting twice in one week is a surprise. Perhaps it's due to the spring equinox, the new moon, or the start of the Aries season, but I've had some insightful dreams the last few days, and expanding my horizons and reach in certain areas was a part of them. Sooo, I'll be increasing the amount of content around here and other creative endeavors in my life. When the universe sends you a message, it may be necessary to take action, even if it seems funny to do so. Let's see where this all leads to...

Recently, I worked on a 16mm motion picture film project, and as most of you know, motion picture film is expensive. To save time and money on b-roll footage (extra footage used to complement the main footage), I've made it a habit to scout locations ahead of time with a digital camera, taking notes on things like exposure and lighting, etc. This way, I can review everything well in advance and make sure everything is ready to go when it's time to shoot those beautiful artistic shots on film stock.

On a sunny day when spring was blooming, I scouted a beautiful, peaceful location to capture some fantastic B-roll footage. I also created a timelapse that day of the scene since the shots I needed were easy to visualize in my head. However, including something like also trying to use a finicky remote with the equipment made the process more amusing than I anticipated. People always notice when you're out in public working on a project. One person even asked if I was working on a story for the news 😭, so just be prepared to be social when you all head outside for your projects as the warmer weather is steadily approaching. The video footage below features just a few outtakes from that day, including some behind-the-scenes moments of setting up and a time-lapse test.

That's a wrap for now, and who knows, I may run into some of you out and about, don't be surprised if I ask you to get in front of the camera. 📸

Cheers to renewal and new energies for spring 🌙 🌺
